About a month ago I was totally procrastinating by typing my name into a search engine.
I know, right?
Well, in this case, goofing off paid off, because what should pop up but a Style Me Pretty article featuring a wedding that I had played for in October 2011!
The really neat thing for me about discovering these particular photos is that I did not actually get to see this wedding ceremony. I only played for the cocktail hour, so I was inside waiting at the piano while this was happening.
So, thanks to Danielle at Visio Photography, let’s take a look-see at what I missed …
As you already know, I’m a total sucker for fall weddings, so of course I loved the above shot.
The flowers, provided by Reeves Floral, also had a beautiful outdoorsy-fall  look to them,.
Okay, now this settles it.
The next time I play for a cocktail hour only, I am NOT going to sit dutifully at the piano waiting  for my cue the entire time. I am going to find some way, somehow, to at least go take a little peek.
Can you believe I missed all this? Aaargh!!
Here are some shots of the reception.
I was playing just inside near this back deck during cocktail hour.
And wow — what a magnificent place to have your first dance as bride and groom!
The DJ for the reception was Nick Crowder of  Atlanta Bands and DJs.
Several months after Nathan and Sally’s wedding, I was playing the piano in Von Maur department store in North Point Mall when the two of them came practically running up to me, delighted to see me and telling me how much they had enjoyed having me play for their wedding.
It was the first and only time I’ve ever run into one of my couples again, and it was a nice treat!
A big thanks again to Atlanta wedding photographer Danielle at VISIO Photography for sharing these photos with me.
