It’s a funny thing about playing only for the cocktail hour of a wedding. Since I’m not at the ceremony, and since during the cocktail hour the wedding party is almost always getting their pictures taken …. I often get home from the wedding and don’t even know what the bride and groom looked like!
That’s why, for example, when I found my name tagged in this wedding featured in Style Me Pretty, at first I couldn’t even figure out whose wedding it was!
Thank goodness for wedding photographers! Courtney Goldman was kind enough to send me these great shots, so that I knew who the heck’s wedding I was actually playing for. So here are Kyle and Hunter, and don’t they look adorable!
And here’s a real treat — Courtney made the point of getting a few shots of me when she arrived at the reception! This is actually one of the best photos of me I’ve ever seen. Thanks, Courtney!
I love playing for cocktail hours, because there’s so much fun stuff to choose from. Some of my favorites include Carole King’s “Natural Woman;” Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed;” “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz; and “Seasons of Love” from RENT.
Here’s a great photo of Kyle — she is just adorable!

A sweet photo of Kyle coming down the aisle …
… and their exit!
